Diwali is indeed a grand festival and we wait all through the year to celebrate this one day with sweets and crackers and fun and laughter!
Diwali is the time for spring-cleaning of the house and to give it a fresh and bright new look with fancy decorations. Some people give a fresh coat of paint and decorate it with something traditional as well as trendy.
So are you getting ready for Diwali and still looking for decoration ideas?
Here are some innovative ideas that would help you in your Diwali decorations.
Begin by cleaning your house. Make sure you clean one room a day, so that within a week your whole house is cleaned up without hurting your back. Now let’s start decorating.

  6. Hang candle holders or lanterns in your garden and give an illusion of hanging lights.
  7. You can make your own candle holders by using waste cans wrapped with colored paper.
Entrance
  1. Use bandhanwars, Torans, a traditional Diwali decorative to adore your entrance doors.
  2. Also put up door hanging embellished with embroidery, mirrors, bells.
  3. Lift your entrance by hanging paper lanterns from the door arch.
  4. Also place earthen diyas on the floor and illuminate your facade.
  5. Hang a bell outside your door and let your guests have some fun. Let them ring it instead of the usual electric bell.
Interior
  1. Adore your living room with a large earthen or glass pot filled with water, floral petals and floating candles.
  2. Hang candle lights at different heights to add the ethnicity to your rooms.
  3. Use garlands to decorate the doors of your rooms.
  4. Use wall rugs and old colorful saris to decorate your walls rather than painting it.
  5. Change curtains and cushion covers with bright color materials.
  6. Give a colorful look to your homes by wrapping light bulbs with handmade color papers.
  7. Give a spiritual look with photos of gods and goddesses in your rooms.
  8. To add fragrance use incense sticks with nice aroma.
Lights        No Diwali celebration is complete without lights, of course. So stream your windows and balconies with pretty strings of lights, and don't be limited by the oh-so-regular lights either. There are plenty of options to choose from thanks to the light invasion from across the border

  1. I really needed some decorative ideas to decorate my home on Diwali.Out of all decorative items lanterns are my favorite one and it looks classy and poses a elite feeling when they are hanged in the corridors or rooms.

  3. This is great one to see your blog last time I see same design to my friend party room in chennai. Majorly used Aluminium scaffolding equipment used for light setting up to all trees edges. Really very gud looking.
